THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY VISITS SMALL BUSINESSES IN EAST HARTFORD AND GLASTONBURY

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will visit two small businesses - Unas Grinding Corporation in East Hartford and Sweet Mavens in Glastonbury - where he will meet with each of the companies' executives and staff to discuss their plans for growth and to take a tour of the facilities. Both companies recently participated in the state's Small Business Express Program (EXP), which partners with small businesses to help them expand and grow jobs by offering loans and matching grants. The program, which launched in January 2012, has since been utilized by nearly 900 companies to create more than 2,400 new jobs and retain 6,900 jobs.
