TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY HOLDS COMMISSIONERS MEETING; MAKES ANNOUNCEMENT AT CAMP HARKNESS IN WATERFORD; KEYNOTES DOWNTOWN STAMFORD ANNUAL MEETING

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a meeting with the commissioners of each state agency. During the meeting, Office of Policy & Management Secretary Ben Barnes will give an update on the state budget, and Transportation Commissioner James P. Redeker will make an announcement about a new state transportation initiative.

In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will hold a news conference at Camp Harkness in Waterford, where he will make an announcement about the park, which is located on the shore of Long Island Sound in Southeastern Connecticut and was badly damaged during Storm Sandy. Camp Harkness, managed by the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services, is one of the few state parks in the country that is dedicated for exclusive use by citizens with disabilities.

In the evening, Governor Malloy will give the keynote address at the annual meeting of the Stamford Downtown Special Services District.
