TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY ATTENDS UNIVERSITY OF ST. JOSEPH ANNOUNCEMENT; MEETS WITH STATE'S UTILITY COMPANIES

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in a news conference at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, where an announcement will be made concerning a new facility at the school that will enhance the university's services to students with special needs. Also in attendance will be University of Saint Joseph President Pamela Trotman Reid, Skip Gengras, Jr., whose parents helped establish the school's Gengras Center, and Jeanne Merola, who serves as chair of the board of trustees at the university.

At noon, Governor Malloy will hold a meeting with representatives of the state's utility companies at the State Emergency Operations Center in Hartford to discuss preparedness efforts and readiness in advance of the height of hurricane season in Connecticut. The meeting, which is closed to the press, will be immediately followed by a media availability.
