THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN STATEWIDE STORM PREPAREDNESS DRILL; ATTENDS PARK SQUARE WEST GROUNDBREAKING IN STAMFORD

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will kick-off a two-day statewide emergency preparedness drill designed to simulate a major ice storm. Beginning at the state Emergency Operations Center in Hartford, he will participate in a series of coordination calls between state officials, municipal officials and utility companies. Following that, he will travel to Torrington at the scene of a simulated building collapse, where state and local emergency response officials will be participating in the drill.

Later, Governor Malloy will attend the Park Square West Phase II groundbreaking ceremony in Stamford. The project is a 225,000 square-foot high-rise with residential and commercial space.
