MONDAY: GOV. MALLOY DISCUSSES URBAN VIOLENCE IN NORWALK; ANNOUNCES NEW PAINT RECYCLING PROGRAM
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join Norwalk Mayor Richard A. Moccia, Norwalk Police Chief Thomas E. Kulhawik, and members of the Norwalk community for a roundtable discussion on urban gun violence, including gun violence reduction strategies, community policing efforts, and other urban crime mitigation efforts.
In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will hold a news conference in Branford to announce the launch of a new program that will allow people to recycle unused paint. He will be joined by Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Commissioner Daniel C. Esty, State Representative Patricia Widlitz (D-Branford, Guilford) and others.
