MONDAY: GOV. MALLOY ATTENDS EVENTS IN CROMWELL, NEW HAVEN AND HARTFORD

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in the 2013 Travelers Championship Opening Ceremony in Cromwell.

Following that, Governor Malloy will participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for Alexion Pharmaceuticals in New Haven. The company, which currently has more than 350 employees, is planning an expansion that will lead to the creation of 200-300 new jobs in the state by 2017.

At noon, Governor Malloy will give brief remarks at the Connecticut Bar Association's 138th annual meeting in Hartford.

Later, Governor Malloy will join the state's housing advocates and other elected officials for a bill signing ceremony to commemorate the final approval of legislation increasing the availability of affordable housing in the state.
