WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN SIKORSKY AIRPORT NEWS CONFERENCE; TOURS WATERBURY FARM; MAKES AGRICULTURE ANNOUNCEMENT

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch, Stratford Mayor James Harkins and Department of Transportation Commissioner James P. Redeker for a news conference to discuss the future of Sikorsky Airport.

Later, Governor Malloy, joined by Department of Agriculture Commissioner Steven Reviczky, will visit Mountaintop Mushrooms, a mushroom farm in Waterbury that was awarded a matching grant by the Department of Agriculture to fund expansion.

In the afternoon, Governor Malloy and Commissioner Reviczky will hold a news conference at the Hartford Regional Market to announce the release of competitive, matching grants that will assist farms, agricultural nonprofits, and municipalities throughout the state to expand and create jobs.
