THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN HOUSING CEREMONY IN WILLIMANTIC; HOLDS VETERANS CABINET MEETING

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening Common Ground's Cedarwoods Residence, which will provide 60 units of affordable housing in Willimantic.

Later, Governor Malloy will hold a meeting of his Veterans Cabinet in Enfield to discuss workforce development opportunities for veterans. Governor Malloy created the state's first Veterans Cabinet in November with the goal of improving the delivery of services to veterans and their families. The 14-member cabinet is co-chaired by Governor Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman and composed of relevant agency commissioners and other executive branch representatives.
