WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY JOINS KEN BURNS FOR AN ANNOUNCEMENT; SPEAKS AT HOSPITAL OF CENTRAL CONN. GROUNDBREAKING; PARTICIPATES IN EVENT SHOWCASING BRISTOL SCHOOL'S GREEN DESIGN; SPEAKS AT CBIA ANNUAL MEETING

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join documentary film director and producer Ken Burns at news conference in Hartford to make an announcement.

In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will give remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Hospital of Central Connecticut's new Cancer Center in New Britain.

Later, Governor Malloy will visit Greene-Hills School in Bristol to participate in an event with school administrators showcasing the school's new green design and energy efficient features, including solar panels and geothermal heating. Earlier this month, Governor Malloy unveiled a comprehensive energy strategy for the state that will create jobs, give residents and businesses more choice about the fuels they use for heat and power, lower energy costs, and better protect the environment and natural resources.

In the evening, Governor Malloy will speak at the Connecticut Business & Industry Association's (CBIA) 197th Annual Meeting in Hartford.
