MONDAY: GOV. MALLOY SPEAKS AT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CONFERENCE; ATTENDS TRONOX GRAND OPENING

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give the keynote address at the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence statewide conference, "Emerging Best Practices to Strengthen Connecticut's Response," whose goal is to provide advocates, clinicians, therapists, law enforcement, attorneys and other state and local providers with tools and practical applications to enhance Connecticut's response to domestic violence. Earlier this month, Governor Malloy proclaimed October as " Domestic Violence Awareness Month " in the State of Connecticut.

In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will give remarks at the grand opening ceremony of the Tronox global headquarters in Stamford. In June, Governor Malloy and Tronox announced that the company would be establishing its global headquarters in Connecticut. The international mineral company is expected to create up to 100 jobs in the next three years.
