WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY KEYNOTES NORTHEASTERN CT CHAMBER LUNCHEON; VISITS T.E.E.G. FACILITY; TOURS QUINEBAUG MANUFACTURING CENTER; HOLDS EDUCATION TOWN HALL IN BERLIN

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give the keynote address at the Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce's luncheon in Pomfret, where he will speak about his efforts to create job and fix what's broken in our public schools.

Later, Governor Malloy will visit the Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment Group (T.E.E.G.) in North Grosvenordale to meet with the community service agency's staff and speak with the students and faculty of Ellis Technical High School who have been working on the construction of a new community facility for several months.

The Governor will then visit Quinebaug Valley Community College (QVCC), where President Ross Tomlin will give a tour of the Manufacturing Technology Center. QVCC has partnered with Ellis Technical High School to offer the manufacturing program.

In the evening, Governor Malloy will host a town hall meeting on education reform in Berlin, where he will discuss the need to improve the state's public school system with parents, students, teachers, and other concerned members of the public. The event will be the ninth town hall meeting of the Governor's Education Reform Tour.
