THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY SPEAKS AT EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION FORUM; HOLDS EDUCATION TOWN HALL IN TORRINGTON
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give welcoming remarks at the Connecticut Mirror's early childhood education forum in Hartford, where he will speak about his plan to close the achievement gap in Connecticut.
Later, Governor Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will hold a town hall meeting on education reform in Torrington, where they will discuss the need to improve the state's public school system with parents, students, teachers, and other concerned members of the public. The event is the third stop on the Governor's Education Reform Tour.
