FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY HOLDS NEWS CONFERENCE ON WITT REPORT; PARTICIPATES IN FAIRFIELD METRO STATION CEREMONY; ATTENDS INAUGURATIONS IN BROOKFIELD & WATERBURY
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday at 10:00 a.m., Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference with Witt Associates Vice President Charles Fisher to discuss the findings in the firm's independent review and analysis of the October Nor'Easter, which the Governor had requested in the storm's immediate aftermath. Following the news conference, Fisher is scheduled to give a presentation on the report at a meeting of Governor Malloy's Two Storm Panel.
At 1:30 p.m., Governor Malloy will join other state and local officials at a ceremony in Fairfield to celebrate the opening of the new Fairfield Metro railroad station.
At 4:00 p.m., Governor Malloy will administer the oath of office to Brookfield First Selectman Bill Davidson and the Brookfield Board of Selectmen at their inauguration ceremony.
At 6:30 p.m., Governor Malloy will give an address at the inauguration ceremony of Waterbury Mayor Neil O'Leary.
