GOV. MALLOY ON VETERANS DAY

(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy released the following statement recognizing Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, 2011:

"Today we honor the many sacrifices made by veterans across the state and the country, and pay tribute to the courage and bravery these men and women in uniform have shown in the course of their service to our nation. We are grateful for the steadfastness with which they have performed their duties to protect the United States, at home and overseas, and for their unfaltering response to the call to duty whenever the country requires. While today is a day to honor and remember our veterans, we also must keep in mind those men and women who are currently serving our country. They are in our thoughts and our prayers, and we wish them all a safe return."
