TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY UPDATES MEDIA, RESIDENTS ON STORM RECOVERY EFFORTS; ATTENDS LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m., Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news briefing from the State Emergency Operations Center in Hartford to provide residents and media with the latest updates on snowstorm recovery efforts.

Later Tuesday morning, Governor Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will give welcoming remarks at the first meeting of the state Labor Management Committee. The committee, comprised of labor representatives and management officials, was established by the agreement between Governor Malloy's administration and state employees' SEBAC bargaining coalition, and is charged with finding savings within state agencies with an eye towards transforming state government to make it less expensive and more efficient.

Immediately following Governor Malloy's welcoming remarks, he will hold a media availability to discuss the committee and his goals for what it can accomplish.
