TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY MEETS WITH LITCHFIELD AREA BUSINESSES; KEYNOTES CT BROADCASTERS ASSOC. CONVENTION; PARTICIPATES IN NEWS CONFERENCE ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Department of Economic & Community Development Commissioner Catherine Smith will meet with members of the Litchfield Area Business Association to discuss issues related to what the Governor hopes to accomplish in a bipartisan manner during the upcoming Jobs Special Session at the end of this month. Approximately 60-80 area business owners and managers are anticipated to attend the meeting.
On Tuesday afternoon, Governor Malloy will give the keynote address at the Connecticut Broadcasters Association's annual convention in Hartford, where he will highlight the importance of transparency and accessibility in government.
Also on Tuesday afternoon, Governor Malloy will join the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence at a news conference in Hartford to further public understanding of domestic violence. Governor Malloy has proclaimed the month of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in the State of Connecticut.
