MONDAY: GOV. MALLOY TOURS NORTH HARTFORD WITH FAITH/COMMUNITY LEADERS; VISITS HARC; ATTENDS WCSU GROUNDBREAKING; KEYNOTES UCONN HEALTH CENTER PRIMARY CARE EVENT

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join representatives of Hartford Communities that Care, Inc. and area faith leaders for a tour of North Hartford, where they will speak with residents and discuss issues affecting them. Hartford Communities that Care is a community action organization that promotes a non-violent, drug free environment through the coordination and collaboration of services, promotion of education, healthy lifestyles, and practices.

Also on Monday morning, Governor Malloy will visit HARC, Inc. in Hartford, where he will receive a tour of the facility and meet with staff, clients and parents to discuss their mission and receive information on the services they provide. The organization helps people with intellectual disabilities enjoy lives of quality, inclusion and dignity by providing support, education and advocacy.

On Monday afternoon, Governor Malloy will give remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new building of Western Connecticut State University's School of Visual & Performing Arts.

Later Monday evening, Governor Malloy will give the keynote address at the University of Connecticut Health Center's National Primary Care Week banquet, where he will discuss the need to improve access to quality health care, innovations in primary care, and his efforts to improve economic development in the state through his Bioscience Connecticut initiative.
