TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY MEETS WITH COMMISSIONERS; CONTINUES JOBS TOUR IN NEW HAVEN AND SHELTON
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold his monthly meeting with the commissioners of each state agency, during which Department of Revenue Services Commissioner Kevin Sullivan and Department of Insurance Commissioner Thomas Leonardi will each give presentations with updates on issues concerning their respective agencies.
Continuing on his Jobs Tour, on Tuesday afternoon, Governor Malloy and Department of Economic & Community Development Commissioner Catherine Smith will visit AT&T in New Haven. There they will meet privately with the company's executives, followed by a press conference to make a jobs announcement. AT&T employs over 5,400 people in Connecticut.
Also on Tuesday afternoon, Governor Malloy and Commissioner Smith will visit the Jones Family Farms in Shelton, where they will meet with the four generations of the Jones Family and with the construction crews working on the farm's new Pumpkinseed Hill barn. The site is a 400-acre seven generation family farm in operation for over 150 years. Originally a dairy farm, it now supports a great diversity of high quality crops and educational harvesting activities. It is also one of 29 farms on the Connecticut Wine Trail, attracting thousands of tourists each year.
