TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY ANNOUNCES NEW JOBS INITIATIVE AT UCONN HEALTH CENTER
DECD Commissioner, UConn President, President-Designate and Medical School Dean will all join Malloy
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy will announce a sweeping new jobs initiative at the UConn Health Center on Tuesday, May 17, 2011. The proposal, which will help Connecticut become a leader in the bioscience industry, will create jobs now, sustain economic growth going forward, and spur innovation in the future. Governor Malloy will be joined by the Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Catherine Smith; Outgoing UConn President Philip Austin; Incoming President Susan Herbst; and UConn Health Center Vice President for Health Affairs and Medical School Dean Dr. Cato Laurencin, among others.
