THURSDAY: GOVERNOR MALLOY AT MILFORD CHAMBER MEETING; BUSINESS TOUR OF SCHICK; GREATER MANCHESTER CHAMBER MEETING; CT AIR NATIONAL GUARD CEREMONY; AMERICAN INSTITUTE GRADUATION
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday at 8:30 a.m., Governor Dannel P. Malloy will be the keynote speaker at a Milford Chamber of Commerce meeting at the Schick Corporation headquarters in Milford. The Governor has been visiting Chambers of Commerce across the state over the past few months, where he has spoken about his efforts to improve the business climate in Connecticut and get our state's fiscal house in order to help create new jobs and keep the ones we have.
Immediately following the Chamber meeting at 9:30 a.m., Governor Malloy will take a business tour of the Schick Corporation headquarters. The tour of the company's facility will give the Governor an opportunity to meet with the management team and staff at the business, whose manufacturing facilities have been located in Milford since 1961.
At 12:30 p.m., Governor Malloy will give the keynote speech at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting in South Windsor.
At 2:00 p.m., Governor Malloy will attend the Connecticut Air National Guard ribbon cutting event for the Centralized Intermediate Repair Facility (CIRF) building at Bradley Air National Guard base in East Granby. The CIRF is a 36,000-square-foot federal turbine engine repair facility that will facilitate increased turbine engine maintenance and repair.
At 4:45 p.m., Governor Malloy will give the commencement speech at the American Institute graduation ceremony in Hartford.
