WEDNESDAY: GOVERNOR MALLOY SPEAKS AT CBIA BUSINESS DAY; DISCUSSES EDUCATION ISSUES WITH CABE; TEACHES MANCHESTER COMMUNITY COLLEGE CLASS; HOLDS TOWN HALL IN NORWICH
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Governor Malloy will speak at the Connecticut Business & Industry Association's Business Day at the Legislative Office Building, where he will talk about his efforts to improve the business climate in Connecticut.
Later that morning, he will discuss education issues at the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education's Day on the Hill at the Bushnell. Board of education members, superintendents, and students from area schools are expected at the event.
On Wednesday afternoon, Governor Malloy will speak to a combined group of two Manchester Community College classes about the state budget and the proposed reorganization of the community college and regional university systems. The Governor will also take questions directly from the students, who are members of the Interpersonal Communications and American Government classes.
Later Wednesday evening, Governor Malloy will hold a town hall meeting in Norwich, the fifth stop in his statewide series of 17 town hall meetings to discuss the state's pressing economic and budgetary issues face-to-face with state residents.
