SATURDAY: GOVERNOR MALLOY ADDRESSES YOUTH & GOVERNMENT CONFERENCE; ATTENDS CONNECTICUT SCIENCE FAIR

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Saturday morning, Governor Malloy will speak at the 68th Annual Connecticut YMCA Youth and Government conference at the State Capitol in Hartford. The conference, aimed at promoting the understanding of lawmaking through active involvement in the legislative process, is a longstanding tradition at the State Capitol, allowing over 250 students from across the state to hold a mock legislative session featuring the students playing various roles, including legislators, constitutional officers, the press corps, and lobbyists.

On Saturday afternoon, Governor Malloy will give introductory remarks at the awards ceremony of the 2011 Connecticut Science Fair. The Connecticut Science Fair is a yearly, statewide science and engineering fair open to all 7th through 12th grade students.
