GOV. MALLOY ORDERS FLAGS TO HALF STAFF FOR
STAFF SGT. FRANK E. ADAMSKI III
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today ordered the Connecticut and U.S. flags to fly at half staff in honor of Connecticut resident Staff Sergeant Frank E. Adamski III, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on Tuesday.
"It is unimaginable that Connecticut is mourning the death of yet another soldier lost in battle," said Governor Malloy. "Staff Sergeant Adamski's family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers at this devastating time. Staff Sergeant Adamski leaves behind a young daughter who will know and understand the sacrifice her father made on behalf of all of us."
Staff Sergeant Adamski, 26, from Moosup, was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was killed by small arms fire while conducting combat operations in Konar, Afghanistan. He leaves behind a wife and daughter.
Flags will remain at half staff until burial, the details of which will be determined.
