GOV. MALLOY ORDERS FLAGS RAISED TO FULL STAFF
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy ordered that the Connecticut and U.S. flags be returned to full staff at sunset today.
The flags were lowered on March 1, 2011 in honor of Specialist David R. Fahey Jr., a 23 year old Norwalk native who was killed in Kandahar, Afghanistan when his vehicle was struck by an IED. Spc. Fahey was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington.
The funeral for Spc. Fahey was held today in New York.
