On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will make welcoming remarks at the True Colors 22nd annual conference in Storrs. The event is the largest LGBTQIA youth conference in the country, bringing together social service agencies, schools, organizations, and communities together to ensure that the needs of sexual and gender minority youth are both recognized and competently met.

Gov. Malloy: Graduation Rates Continue to Climb
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by Interim Commissioner of Education Dianna R. Wentzell, today announced that graduation rates continue to climb as persistent graduation gaps continue to close. In 2014, the statewide graduation rate increased 1.5 points to 87.0 percent-up for a total 5.2 points since 2010.

Gov. Malloy Selects Scott Jackson as Under Secretary for Intergovernmental Policy

Malloy today announced that he is selecting Hamden Mayor Scott Jackson to serve as the state's Under Secretary for Intergovernmental Policy, a position that will be responsible for the streamlining the delivery of targeted state investments into urban communities and regions in order to maximize their output and extend those improvements across surrounding areas.

Wednesday: Gov. Malloy Announces Statewide Graduation Rates in New Haven and Fairfield
On Wednesday, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold events at schools in New Haven and Fairfield to announce the state's 2014 graduation rates. Joined by Interim Education Commissioner Dianna R. Wentzell, local educators, students, and other state officials, the Governor will hold news conferences at each school as well as tour classrooms.

Gov. Malloy Announces Small Town Grants to Assist Seven Communities with Capital Improvement Projects

Monday: Gov. Malloy Visits Expanding Technology Company in Windsor and Discusses Job Growth; Keynotes Hartford Rotary Club Meeting
On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join an expanding company, Novitex Enterprise Solutions, for the opening of its new MegaCenter in Windsor. The Governor will also discuss the state's jobs report, which is scheduled to be released by the Connecticut Department of Labor earlier in the morning.

Gov. Malloy: Habco Industries to Expand Operations and Jobs in Glastonbury
Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that HABCO Industries, which builds test and ground-support equipment for the aerospace industry, is expanding its Glastonbury operation and plans to increase its workforce from 42 to 79 over the next four years.
