Thank You for Joining Us for VOICES 2026!
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us on October 2, 2026, for this years Annual VOICES Forum! Resident Council leaders, advocates, facility representatives, and community partners from across Connecticut came together for a day of meaningful conversations, shared ideas, and connections centered on resident voice and leadership.
This year's theme, Stronger Councils, Stronger Connections, Stronger Communities, reminded us that positive change begins when residents have opportunities to lead, work together, and be heard. From strengthening Resident Councils to building more productive relationships between residents and facility leadership, the day's discussions focused on ways to make our communities more responsive to the people who call them home.
Whether you attended in person or were unable to join us, we hope you will take the ideas and resources from this year's Forum back to your Resident Council and keep the conversations going. We're pleased to share the VOICES 2026 recording below.

VOICES is more than a single day. The ideas, experiences, and priorities shared by residents can help guide ongoing conversations and resident-led advocacy throughout the year. Two important opportunities highlighted at VOICES 2026 are available to help residents stay involved.
Explore the Resident Advocacy Action Hub
The Resident Advocacy Action Hub is a place for residents and Resident Councils to turn shared concerns into meaningful action. Explore current advocacy priorities, provide feedback through surveys, support resident-led initiatives, share experiences, and learn about opportunities to connect with other resident advocates.

Join the Statewide Coalition of Presidents of Resident Councils (SCPRC)
Your voice matters beyond the walls of your own community! The Statewide Coalition of Presidents of Resident Councils brings nursing home residents together to strengthen Resident Councils, identify shared priorities, and advocate for improvements in resident rights and quality of life across Connecticut.
If you are a nursing home resident who wants to connect with other residents, learn about statewide advocacy, or take a more active leadership role, we encourage you to get involved. You do not have to wait until the next VOICES Forum to make a difference.
