Governor Lamont Lifts Emergency Order on Commercial Vehicle Travel Effective at 6:30AM Monday

1/26/2026

(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont today announced that the emergency order he enacted prohibiting commercial vehicles from traveling on all limited access highways in Connecticut due to the major winter storm that is impacting the state has been terminated effective at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Even though the order has been lifted, the governor is urging all motorists to do their best to avoid driving Monday if possible and use absolute caution if they must drive as plow crews continue their work to clear the roads of snow and ice.

“While the height of the storm has passed, lingering light snowfall is expected to remain throughout the day on Monday, and I am strongly advising everyone to stay off the roads if at all possible and let the plow crews do their jobs,” Governor Lamont said.

For updates on any incidents that may be impacting state roads and highways, visit CTroads.org. For those who utilize public transportation, visit the transit operator’s website for updates on any potential delays or cancellations.
