(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont released the following statement regarding the Honorable Robert I. Berdon, retired Justice of the State Supreme Court, who passed away on Thursday, October 31:
“Justice Berdon dedicated his life in service to his state and his nation, beginning from his time when he enrolled in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, continuing through his election as State Treasurer and his eventual nomination to the bench. Through the course of his career, he authored hundreds of opinions that have had a profound impact on the laws of our state. On behalf of the State of Connecticut, I want to thank Justice Berdon for the service he provided our state and I express my condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues in the Judicial Branch.”
