Public Hearing on Connecticut 2017-2018 Winter Heating Assistance Program

8/18/2017

Low Income Energy Assistance Program Block Grant Allocation Plan- Federal Fiscal Year 2018

The Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) is designed to help offset the winter heating costs of Connecticut's lower income households, specifically those households whose income falls at or below 60 percent of the state median income.

The CEAP is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Block Grant. The Department of Social Services, with the help of its partners, Community Action Agencies (CAA), administers CEAP.

The State of Connecticut’s 2018 Low-Income Energy Assistance Program Block Grant Allocation Plan will be the subject of a joint public hearing before the Appropriations, Human Services, and Energy and Technology Committees on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 1 p.m. in Room 2E of the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.

Please follow this link for a copy of the FFY 18 LIHEAP Allocation Plan
