Overview of PREP

• CT PREP provides medically-accurate, age-appropriate sexuality education to youth on both abstinence and contraception in order to prevent adolescent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.  
• The program uses best practices to replicate evidence-based effective programs or incorporate elements of effective programs to change behaviiors and promote successful healthy transitions to adulthood thrugh the implementation of Adult Preparation Subjects, including Healthy Relationships, Adolescent Development and Healthy Life Skills.

• CT PREP is funded by the Department of Health & Human Serevice's Administration of Children & Families (ACF) Federal Youth Services Bureau (FYSB).
• PREP has received funding since 2010.
