Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Overview

Targeted violence terrorism prevention involves a multifaceted approach to protect communities from threats posed by individuals or groups with the intent to cause harm. DEMHS, as the lead state agency for coordinating emergency management and response statewide to disasters and incidents, is committed to preventing and protecting the state from acts of violence and terrorism and engaging with the whole community of stakeholders to achieve its mission. A successful TVTP program includes some, but not all, of the following key pillars to protect life and property from threats and acts of terrorism.
