Application Overview

The State Nonprofit Security Grant Program (CT-NSGP) application is announced annually by DESPP/DEMHS and provides funding to support security infrastructure and security improvements at eligible nonprofit organizations. The NSGP program is a competitive state grant program. Eligible applicants must be 501(c) (3) organizations that are at heightened risk of being the target of a terrorist attack and must own the building(s) seeking funding at the time of application and throughout the project. 

The application is broken down into 2 parts:

1. Organization Data, Threat Narrative, Scope of Work, and Budget
2. Online Security Self-Assessment 

DEMHS has moved to an electronic grants management system for the administration and management for state nonprofit security grant program (CT-NSGP) awards for FY 2026 and beyond.
