DEMHS is hosting 2 webinars on July 15th for interested applicants of the FY 2026 CT-NSGP funding. You will hear from program managers about the grant, including project eligibility, application process, and grant management guidance. There will be another webinar series in August at a later date. Application Overview
The State Nonprofit Security Grant Program (CT-NSGP) application is announced by DESPP/DEMHS when funding is allocated by the Connecticut Bond Commission. This program provides funding to support security infrastructure and security improvements at eligible nonprofit organizations. The NSGP program is a competitive state grant program. Eligible applicants must be 501(c) (3) organizations that are at heightened risk of being the target of a terrorist attack and must own the building(s) seeking funding at the time of application and throughout the project.
The application is broken down into 2 parts:
- Organization Data, Threat Narrative, Scope of Work, and Budget
- Online Security Self-Assessment
DEMHS has moved to an electronic grants management system for the administration and management for state nonprofit security grant program (CT-NSGP) awards for FY 2026 and beyond. The required application forms and documents will need completion and submission within the EM Grants System. In order to access the application, you must be registered in the EM Grants System.
- To register, visit emgrants.despp.ct.gov and create your organization with required fields and select “SSBF” for access to the State Security Bond Funds which this CT-NSGP grant falls under.
