Master Wildlife Conservationist Outreach Programs

Interested in Hosting a Master Wildlife Conservationist?

All Master Wildlife Conservationists (MWCs) are trained and certified by DEEP Wildlife Division staff to present programs on various wildlife-related topics. They often provide talks with accompanying slide presentations for libraries, schools, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, garden clubs, and other organizations.

Master Wildlife Conservationists also host booths at fairs, festivals, and other environmentally-focused events to engage with visitors using interactive educational materials. These materials typically include pelts, skulls, and tracks of mammal species that occur in Connecticut. Not only do participants learn about the natural history of these species, but they also learn about ongoing Wildlife Division research efforts. Please note: If there are booth/table display topics you are interested in other than mammals, then please specify in the request form below, and staff will do their best to accommodate.

Available Presentations:

  • Bald Eagle
  • Bats
  • Black Bear
  • Bobcat
  • Fisher
  • Connecticut's Changing Landscape
  • White-tailed Deer
  • Wild Turkey
