Burr Pond State Park, Torrington - Volunteers are needed to paint the change house by the beach, and a storage shed behind the shop/office building, repair signs and clean-up the grounds.
Chatfield Hollow State Park, Killingworth - Volunteers will remove invasive, aquatic plants from the beach.
Dinosaur State Park, Rocky Hill - Activity involves trail graveling.
Gillette Castle State Park, East Haddam - Activities include maintaining all major trails (about 4.5 miles).
Haddam Meadows State Park, Haddam - Activities include litter clean up along the river's edge, and removal of invasive plants from the picnic area.
Hammonasset Beach State Park, Madison - Volunteers are needed to assist with removal of invasive plant species.
Harkness Memorial State Park, Waterford - Join the Friends of Harkness Memorial State Park and the MG Car Club planting and preparing the historic gardens at Harkness Memorial State Park.
Mashamoquet Brook State Park, Pomfret - Activities include raking leaves, cutting back trails, and removing invasive species.
Old Furnace State Park, Killingly - Improve grounds and trail maintenance.
Peoples State Forest, Barkhamsted – Several entrance gates need to be restained and repainted, some signs need to be repaired. Also, some minor work landscaping and cleaning the grounds around the new cabins at Austin Hawes Campground.
Pootatuck State Forest, New Fairfield - Meet at Squantz Pond SP. Activities include trail and fire road maintenance: Cleaning of culverts and rain gulleys, removal of brush for trails (labor intensive).
Quaddick State Park, Thompson - Activities include raking leaves.
Rocky Neck State Park, East Lyme - Activities include preparing/raking camping sites, sweeping sand off the boardwalk, cleaning pavillion windows, cleaning cigarette butts off the beach.
Sherwood Island State Park, Westport - Volunteers are needed to remove and replace 3,500 feet of fence.
Silver Sands State Park, Milford - Activities include picking litter, pruning, assisting with drainage control, assembling tables, benches, and possibly bluebird boxes.
Sleeping Giant State Park, Hamden - Activities include picking litter, pruning, assisting with drainage control, assembling tables, benches, and possibly bluebird boxes.
Squantz Pond State Park, New Fairfield - Activities include repairing and painting lifeguard chairs, brush removal, street sweeping, litter picking, and removing rocks from the beach.
Stratton Brook State Park, Simsbury - Activities include raking leaves, cutting brush, trail work, nature center clean up, post and rail painting, boardwalk repair, picnic area clean up, and picnic shelter repair.
