DEEP Environmental Conservation Police Make Arrest In Sex Assault Case
Danielson man charged for reported incident in Pomfret
(HARTFORD) — The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) announced today that the DEEP Environmental Conservation Police (EnCon) have arrested John Bradley, 46, of Danielson, in connection with a sexual assault case that occurred in Mashamoquet Brook State Park in Pomfret.
In November of 2025, EnCon Police were notified of a report of a past sexual assault of a minor that occurred within Mashamoquet Brook State Park.
EnCon investigators, in coordination with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families, initiated an investigation to develop further information related to the complaint. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the accused, Bradley, is a known acquaintance of the victim.
As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued by Danielson Superior Court on April 07, 2026. Bradley was taken into custody by EnCon investigators and processed at Connecticut State Police Troop D in Danielson.
Bradley is being held on $150,000 court-set bond. He was held at the Department of Corrections for his April 08, 2026, court date.
