CT DEEP Announces Closure of the Niantic River State Boat Launch In Waterford for Parking Lot Line Striping

Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced that it will be temporarily closing the Niantic River State Boat Launch in Waterford on Thursday, June 15th, 2017 for line striping in the parking lot.  The boat launch will re-open on Friday, June 16th.
The launch is being closed to prevent interference and damage to vehicles during the process. “We apologize for the short notice and realize that the closure will impact boating access for the day at this popular launch,” said Michael Payton, Supervisor of the DEEP’s Navigation & Boating Infrastructure Unit, “however, the line striping is urgently needed to facilitate efficient parking and traffic flow of motor vehicles with trailers.”
Contact Mike Payton at (860) 447-4347 or mike.payton@ct.gov with any further questions.
