Thursday: Gov. Malloy Announces Arts in Education Grant Recipients
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference in New Haven to announce the recipients of the competitive Arts in Education grants, which are part of a multi-agency partnership between the State Department of Education, the Department of Economic and Community Development-Connecticut Office of the Arts, and the Connecticut Arts Council. The grant program was launched earlier this year to strengthen the arts in education. The Governor will be joined at the announcement by SDE Commissioner Stefan Pryor and DECD Commissioner Catherine Smith.
