Dispensing Group Practice Registration

Section 1 of Public Act 23-52 requires group practices that dispense a seventy-two-hour supply of legend drugs or legend devices to register with the Department of Consumer Protection. The law is effective January 1, 2024.

Purpose

This registration is required for group practices that dispense legend drugs or legend devices. 

Prerequisites

• Register for access to the electronic prescription drug monitoring program.

• Name and contact information of centralized dispensing practitioner or a pharmacist who is employed by the group practice

Fees

• Initial Application Fee: $200
• Renewal Fee: $200

Renewal

This registration shall be valid for a two-year period.
