The Drug Control compliance and enforcement section oversees all laws and regulations concerning the distribution of drugs within Connecticut, all pharmacy inspections and audits and conducting investigations on health care professional for improper prescribing, diversion and misuse of controlled substance medications. Enforcement actions taken against pharmacy practitioners are included in the minutes of the Pharmacy Commission.

 

Laws enforced include the Pharmacy Practice Act, the State Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, and the State Controlled Substances Act.
