Due to the personally identifying information contained in written limited appearance statements from the public, any written limited appearance statements that are received by the Council for any matter are available to be viewed at the Council’s office Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or available to be sent via e-mail upon request. Please allow adequate time for processing.

RE: PETITION NO. 617E - Waterside Power, LLC petition for a declaratory ruling that no Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need is required for the proposed installation of a temporary 69.2 MW peaking project in Stamford, Connecticut.

The Connecticut Siting Council (Council) has scheduled a field review of this petition on Monday, April 21, 2003, beginning at 2:00 p.m. The Council will meet at the Waterside Project site at 2:00 p.m. A detailed map and driving directions are enclosed for the site and for the hearing which will begin at 3:00 p.m. and reconvene at 7:00 p.m. at the Stamford Senior Center, located within the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Boulevard, Stamford, Connecticut.

Directions to the Field Review from I-95

  • Take Exit 6 to West Avenue

  • Stay Straight to go onto Grenhart Road

  • Turn Left onto West Avenue

  • Turn Left onto Selleck Street

  • Turn Right onto Betts Avenue

  • Turn Left onto Amelia Place, and look for signs indicating "Waterside Project" and "17 Amelia Place"

    • Directions from Site to Hearing

    • Proceed Left onto Durant Street

    • Turn Right onto Selleck Street

    • Turn Left onto Fairfield Avenue

    • Follow Fairfield Avenue across Richmond Hill Avenue north to West Main Street

    • Take Right onto West Main, which becomes Tresser Boulevard

    • Follow Tresser Boulevard to Left onto Washington Boulevard (Route 137)

    • Take Left into Stamford Government Center Garage. It is across from the YWCA. Entrance is next to "First Union" sign

      • Circle around to find a place. It may be necessary to go up one or two floors. If so, after parking, go to garage elevator to the ground level. Enter building, sign in at reception desk and take the inside building elevator to the second floor. Walk toward railing and then left to enter the Senior Center reception area and auditorium.
