Consumer Engagement Coordinator RFP - Due by January 14, 2019
The Office of Health Strategy (OHS) is seeking a Consumer Engagement Coordinator (CEC) to support and serve as the primary resource to its Consumer Advisory Board (CAB). Consumer and community input and engagement is critical to designing and implementing changes in the health system that benefit the Connecticut population. The CAB was created to ensure that the voice of the consumer is heard in all of the work of OHS. The CAB is particularly interested in strengthening the positive impact of innovations in health and health care on consumers, particularly those who are at-risk and underserved, strengthening the communication between OHS and consumers of health services and ensuring ongoing statewide engagement and input of consumer into the activities of OHS.

Payment Parity and Behavioral Health Coverage by Private Insurers Study RFP
The Office of Health Strategy is seeking a contractor to: 1. Study the rates at which health carriers delivering, issuing for delivery, renewing, amending or continuing individual and group health insurance policies in the state, and third-party administrators licensed under section 38a-720a of the general statutes, reimburse health care providers for covered physical, mental and behavioral health benefits. 2. Study to determine whether payment parity exists between (1) providers of behavioral and mental health services and providers of other medical services in the private insurance market, (2) such providers within the HUSKY Health program, and (3) HUSKY Health program behavioral and mental health providers and their counterparts in the private insurance market.

The Office of Health Strategy (OHS) is seeking one or more contractors to provide OHS with expertise in meeting facilitation, stakeholder engagement, health economics, actuarial modeling, and analytics services to develop Connecticut’s first health care cost growth benchmarks, primary care spending targets and quality benchmarks.OHS has extended the application due date from February 21, 2020 to March 2, 2020 at noon. Please see the Second Addendum for all changes to the RFP timeframe.
