Who is a qualifying out-of-state caregiver?

A person, other than the qualifying out-of-state patient, who is:

  • At least 18 years old;
  • Is a resident of another state;
  • Is a parent, guardian or person having legal custody of the qualifying out-of-state patient; and,
  • Holds a valid qualifying out-of-state credential from such other state or jurisdiction that entitles them to undertake responsibility for managing the well-being of the qualifying out-of-state patient with respect to the palliative use of cannabis in such other state or jurisdiction.
