Asian Beetle found attacking arborvitae; public assistance requested An Asian lady beetle, Callidiellum rufipenne, commonly referred to as the smaller Japanese cedar longhorn beetle, has been found in Milford, Greenwich, Stamford, and North Haven. Members of the public who suspect the beetle may be attacking their plants are asked to call the station to assist in an effort to eradicate the beetle before it becomes established in Connecticut.
