State Attorneys General Reach $450 Million Nationwide Settlement as Part of Opioid Maker Endo's Bankruptcy
Attorney General William Tong has reached an agreement in principle with opioid maker Endo International plc and its lenders that would provide up to $450 million to participating states and local governments, ban promotion of Endo’s opioids, and require Endo to turn over millions of documents related to its role in the opioid crisis for publication in a public online archive.

Attorney General Tong Announces Settlement with U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Attorney's Office to Affirm Legitimacy of Connecticut Pardons
Attorney General William Tong announced today an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut affirming that the Department of Homeland Security will recognize full and unconditional pardons granted by the Connecticut Board of Pardons and Paroles as waiving deportability, based on a Connecticut conviction, under the Immigration and Nationality Act’s pardon waiver clause.

Attorney General William Tong today joined a coalition of 16 attorneys general filing an amicus brief opposing Florida’s discriminatory “Don’t Say Gay” law. The law bans classroom discussion of sexual orientation or gender identity, posing a serious threat to LGBTQ+ students who are particularly vulnerable to the harms caused by discrimination.
