Attorney General Tong Announces $739,759 Settlement with Manchester Pediatric Associates Over False Medicaid Billing
Attorney General William Tong today announced a $739,759.52 Connecticut False Claims Act settlement with Manchester Pediatric Associates, LLC (MPA), and its owner, Dr. Swathanthra Melekote to resolve allegations that MPA submitted false and fraudulent claims between January 2015 and May 2021 that resulted in overbilling the Connecticut Medicaid program.

Attorney General Tong and Consumer Counsel Statements on $1.8 Million Civil Penalty Over Eversource Marketing Tactics
Attorney General William Tong and Interim Consumer Counsel Claire E. Coleman issued the following statements after the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority recommended a $1.8 million civil penalty over Eversource’s marketing tactics. Attorney General Tong and the Office of Consumer Counsel had filed a petition with PURA seeking an investigation following media reports that Eversource was using high pressure tactics to entice consumers to convert to natural gas.
