Lacy Fuller's Success Story
Are you looking for great second hand items with amazing help? Look no further than Lacy Fuller at the Sister’s Thrifts and Gifts shop located in Plainfield, CT. Lacy, who has been employed there for two years is a jack of all trades. “I look at the donations and check to make sure the items are in good shape. No tears or stains. They have to be good quality. She also cashes out customers and decorates the store front windows and store. “I work with customers and point them in the direction of items they are looking for. I know to be a nice person and get along with everyone. That’s important for customer service”.
Prior to working at Sister’s Thrifts and Gifts, Lacy worked at different consignment shops. When she heard about the opening she came on board. “I like it better. I am always treated with respect here. I make good money here, but there’s no sick or vacation time yet”. She spoke highly of Brad and Corrine, the coordinators and her coworkers Liz, Julie, Monique, Jason and Jean who are “really friendly”. It also doesn’t hurt to get a 10% discount for working at Sister’s Thrifts and Gifts!
When she isn’t busy working Lacy enjoys spending time with her family and babysitting her nieces and nephews. “I hang out with my family; I live with my parents and two brothers Mark and Robert. I have two sisters with children. I like to babysit for my nieces and nephews”.
Lacy’s goals for the Sister’s Thrifts and Gifts shop would eventually be a bigger store. “We have lots of items to sell. Organization is important; if it looks confusing, customers can’t find what they want. Clothes, house wares and toys are all good sellers”.
When asked about her own future goals, Lacy said, “fashion, decorating and modeling are all jobs that I would like to try that might be interesting”. In the future, Lacy might be working at John Dempsey Center DDS Putnam Office as a Receptionist. If you are currently looking for employment opportunities, Lacy’s advice to you is “be confident in yourself and you can do it”.
You can head down to Sister’s Thrifts and Gifts Monday - Saturday between 8 am - 4 pm to have Lacy or the other amazing employees assist you with your fashion, home decor or toy needs! Thank you Lacy for your hard work and dedication to Sister’s Thrifts and Gifts!
