Jonathan Lopez Overcoming the Odds

Jonathan Lopez is a 32-year-old man born with a condition called Neurofibromatosis.  Neurofibromatosis causes chronic pain and tumors to form in the brain, spinal cord, and nerves.  Due to his condition and the pain, he cannot work but aspires to live a happy and healthy life.

When Jonathan was young, he dreamed of becoming a professional wrestler, but unfortunately, he could not wrestle due to his physical condition.  However, he is an avid fan.  One of Jonathan's passions is watching wrestling on TV; he has also had the opportunity to attend live wrestling matches.  His favorite wrestlers are John Cena and Bray Wyatt.  Another passion of Jonathan’s is volunteering at a nursing home.  Jonathan stated, “that he loves talking to old people” and always looks forward to visiting with them.

Jonathan has always dreamed of having a life that included a job, his own home, and a family.  He was discouraged that his condition would stop him from achieving these goals.  It can be lonely and sad when you physically cannot work, and without a livelihood, it can be hard to meet friends or women to date.  He decided to try his luck dating online.

Something out of the ordinary happened that changed Jonathan’s luck.  An actor/comedian named Pete Davidson began to get popular.  It was uncanny how Jonathan looked so much like him.  This similarity caught some attention when Jonathan posted his picture on an online dating sight.  It also boosted Jonathan’s confidence.  People looked at Jonathan differently because of his similarity to Pete.  Jonathan is still the same funny, sweet guy, but because of Pete’s fame, Jon can catch a break in life.  Jon is currently in a healthy, respectful, loving relationship that has improved the quality of his life.
