Monday: Lt. Gov. Wyman Participates in Veterans Events in Cromwell, Wallingford, and Hartford
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Monday morning, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will present a citation at the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce Support the Troops event.
Later, the Lt. Governor will make remarks to veterans and students at the Yalesville Elementary School veterans ceremony.
In the afternoon, Lt. Governor Wyman will join Governor Dannel P. Malloy; Congressman John Larson; Department of Veterans' Affairs Commissioner Sean Connolly; Adjutant General Thad Martin; U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Assistant Secretary for Policy and Planning Linda Schwartz; the Connecticut State Veterans Memorial Board; local and state officials; and veterans and family members at the opening of the Connecticut State Veterans Memorial. The Memorial is a tribute to Connecticut's 1.3 million veterans and was funded through state, private, corporate, and foundation dollars.
