GOVERNOR MALLOY & LT. GOVERNOR WYMAN ON PASSING OF LOCAL LEADER AND NORWICH RESIDENT STANLEY ISRAELITE

(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman released the following statement regarding the passing of former Norwich Chamber of Commerce president and City Councilman Stanley Israelite.

"Stanley Israelite gave his all to serving the public, bettering his beloved city and improving the quality of life for the citizens of this state.

"Over the years, Stanley compiled an impressive record of civic engagement through his many contributions to local business and economic development as head of the Norwich Chamber of Commerce and dedication to constituent services as a City Councilman and advisor to former U.S. Senator Christopher Dodd.

"Stanley will be remembered as a man who brought joy into the lives of others and our condolences and prayers are with his loved ones at this time."
